- The BDD Foundation was born. Originally called BDD-UK we linked
a page to OCD-UK who supported us enormously in getting the bare
bones of the organisation started |

started to put together plans for our first awareness event |

- We applied for our first grant applications and we are still waiting
to hear if they have been awarded to us |

We
approached an award-winning advertising company based in Kensington
London - JWT Advertising
to ask them to consider developing an awareness campaign for Body
Dysmorphia. They agreed in principle* |

The
BBC approached The BDD Foundation to take part in a BBC Documentary
about BDD ('Too Ugly for Love' BBC3 - 30.08.06) |

April
- We had our first BDD Awareness event at The Priory Hospital North
London. We had specialist speakers from the UK and U.S.A. The day
was very successful. |

- Work started on The BDD Foundation website |

- First meeting of trustees and volunteers |

July
- *We had our second meeting with JWT Advertising and they have
put together a strikingly effective campaign and also are developing
a TV advertisement to raise awareness of BDD in the UK |

- The BBC3 Documentary airs 30.08.06 'Too Ugly for Love' 9pm
and the new website launches! |
